I DONT WANT DIAMONDS
I DONT WANT GOLD
ALL I WANT IS YOU TO HAVE AND TO HOLD
I WANT YOU SO BAD TO BE BY MY SIDE
SO I DONT HAVE TO KEEP MY FEELING LOCKED INSIDE
INSIDE MY HEART WHERE NO-ONE CAN SEE
I SO WANT YOU TO BE PART OF ME
TO BE BY MY SIDE WHEN THINGS GO WRONG
KEEP ME SAFE AND KEEP ME STRONG
I WANT TO BE HERE FOR YOU TOO
TO SHARE PRECOIUS MOMENTS THAT MUCH IS TRUE
TO GIVE YOU LOVE ALL YOUR HEART CAN HOLD
THAT TO ME IS BETTER THAN DIAMONDS OR GOLD

never 4 get the hero's

The Iraq War is also known as the Occupation of Iraq, The Second Gulf War, Operation Iraqi Freedom,
or Operation New Dawn. It has been ongoing since the invasion of Iraq by a multinational force led
by troops from the United States and the United Kingdom.

Prior to the war, the governments of the United States and the United Kingdom claimed that Iraq
possessed weapons of mass destruction (WMD) that posed a threat to US and UK security and the
security of their regional allies. In 2002, the United Nations Security Council called for Iraq to
completely cooperate with UN weapon inspectors to verify that Iraq was not in possession of WMD and
cruise missiles. The United Nations found no evidence of WMD, but could not verify the accuracy of
Iraq's weapon declarations.

Investigations after the invasion, by the U.S.-led Iraq Survey Group concluded that Iraq had ended
its nuclear, chemical, and biological programmes in 1991 and had no active programmes at the time of
the invasion, but that they intended to resume production if the Iraq sanctions were lifted. Some
US officials also accused Iraqi President Saddam Hussein of harbouring and supporting Al-Qaeda, but
no real evidence of a connection was found. Other reasons for the invasion were given as Iraq's
financial support for the families of Palestinian suicide bombers, Iraqi government human rights
abuses, and an effort to spread democracy to the country.

The invasion of Iraq resulted in the eventual capture of President Hussein, who was later tried in
an Iraqi court of law and executed by the new Iraqi government. Violence against coalition forces
and among various sectarian groups has led to the Iraqi insurgency, friction between many Sunni and
Shia Iraqi groups, and the appearance of a new faction of Al-Qaeda in Iraq. It is estimated that
the total number of Iraqi refugees numbers more than 4.7 million (16% of the population). The number
of refugees abroad is estimated at 2 million and the number of internally displaced people is 2.7
million. It is reported that 35% of Iraqi children, or about five million children, are orphans.
The Red Cross stated in March 2008 that Iraq's humanitarian situation remained among the most
critical in the world, with millions of Iraqis forced to rely on insufficient and poor-quality water
sources.

In June 2008, U.S. Department of Defense officials claimed security and economic indicators began to
show signs of improvement. Public opinion favouring troop withdrawals increased and Iraqi forces
began to take responsibility for security, and Coalition member nations began to withdraw their
forces. In late 2008, the U.S. and Iraqi governments approved a Status of Forces Agreement
effective until January 1, 2012.

In late February 2009, new U.S. President Barack Obama announced an 18-month withdrawal window for
combat forces, with approximately 50,000 troops remaining in the country "to advise and train Iraqi
security forces and to provide intelligence and surveillance". The top U.S. military commander in
Iraq believes all U.S. troops will be out of the country by the end of 2011. UK forces ended combat
operations on April 30, 2009.

~ The Debt Unpayable ~
(for a serviceman/woman)

What have I given,
Bold sailor on the sea?
In earth or heaven,
That you should die for me?

What can I give,
O soldier, leal and brave,
Long as I live,
To pay the life you gave?

What tithe or part
Can I return to thee,
O stricken heart,
That thou shouldst break for me?

The wind of Death
For you has slain life's flowers,
It withereth
(God grant) all weeds in ours.

remembering me

♥Ϡஇ₡♥

Remember Me
When breath at last leaves me,
Do not sorrow and cry
For it comes to all, the time to die.

♥Ϡஇ₡♥

At this time please heed my wish
Call to the bird, animal and fish.
For these are the creatures I hold most dear
And when they come, know I will be near.

♥Ϡஇ₡♥

For burn my remains and scatter them well,
From hilltop high and deep in fell.
This I ask of those close to me,
Give me peace and set me free.

♥Ϡஇ₡♥

To all here gathered blessed be you
And go with my memory ever with you.
Do not weep at this my demise,
For again I will come in different guise.

♥Ϡஇ₡♥

With call from the hawk, again will I walk
Under oak and beech with stag and deer,
I will come and again be near
So listen to the voices that sing in the wild,
And I know I walk as nature’s child

Tears in Heaven

Would you know my name
if I saw you in heaven
Would it be the same
If I saw you in heaven
I must be strong and carry on
'Cos I know I don't belong
Here in heaven

Time can bring you down
Time can bend your knees
Time can break your heart
Have you begging please
Begging please

Beyond the door
There's a peace I'm sure
And I know
There'll be no more
Tears in heaven

Would you know my name
If I saw you in heaven
Would it be the same
If I saw you in heaven
I must be strong and carry on
'Cos I know I don't belong
Here in heaven.

As the year draws to a close, time to reflect on the events of the last twelve months - so many more lives lost. Young lives. All gone too soon. People everywhere will be celebrating the new year - and freedom. Freedom which we enjoy thanks to all of you. You are never far from my thoughts, especially my own boy. May you all rest in peace, brothers in arms, amongst the angels. Your sacrifice will never be forgotten and the love we feel will never die. God bless you all xxxxx

Love from Donna xxxxxx

If We Could Bring You Back Again
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
If we could bring you back again,
For one more hour or day,
We’d express all our unspoken love;
We’d have countless things to say.

If we could bring you back again,
We’d say we treasured you,
And that your presence in our lives
Meant more than we ever knew.

If we could bring you back again,
To tell you what we should,
You’d know how much we miss you now,
And if we could, we would.

yet another true hero

MARINE COMMANDO

Another Royal Marine Commando he has passed into glory
From the terrible wounds received in action sadly he died
It was in the new 'Queen Elizabeth Hospital' in Birmingham
His proud loving parents and brothers at the end by his side

It was Marine Richard Hollington from Bravo Company
With 40 Commando Royal Marines in Sangin, Afghanistan
They were deployed and located at Patrol Base Ezeray
To increase security for the locals, help however they can

Bravo Company was conducting a patrol of reassurance
When Marine Richard Hollington so badly injured fell
It was as a result of an explosion caused by insurgents
Flown to the UK for treatment his family they had to tell

They must tell of this brave young hero who was sorely injured
With extraordinary courage was at the front of every patrol
With the professional pride that gave confidence to others
He was affable, loyal and modest but oh what a terrible toll

For eight days in hospital this young hero fought so bravely
For this twenty three year old warrior it was not to be
The Gods they had a place of honour waiting for Richard
This brave young man gave all for his country, you and me

Richard all your loving family they were there beside you
As in your final battle the angels of our lord did descend
For you will live forever in the hearts of our proud nation
As into Gods glory did you a Marine, a loving Son ascend

God gave us each an angel
To watch over us with love.
They’re always carrying messages
To Him in Heaven above.

They warn us during danger,
Encourage us to do what is right,
And will always guard and guide us,
Throughout the day and night.

God sent them to protect us,
When crisis comes our way,
And to aid us with our problems
That we encounter every day.

Thank You, my God in Heaven,
For our Guardian Angels dear.
They’re just a token of Your love
To help us overcome life’s fears.

never forgotten

I Stand Before You

I stand before you all today
But not one eye can see my way

My time arrived, to leave this earth
A fact so planned, to every birth

It happened where I had to go
My torch for life was so aglow

I transferred while in uniform
Protecting freedom, through a storm

Should I resent I died for you
Not on my life, red white and blue

Please help my family through each day
Tell all my friends, try not to stray

And of the country I did love
Do think of me, through God above

Your memories, brought forth this day
Send love to us, who could not stay

2001Roger J. Robicheau
Former SP5 US Army

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY TO ALL OUR BEAUTIFUL ANGELS IN HEAVEN ABOVE AND ALL THOSE FALLEN SOLDIERS FROM EVERY WHERE THAT KEEP US SAFE. ALL MY LOVE AND GOD BLESS YOU XOXO

We’ll never forget you gave your all
That others can be free
You paid the ultimate earthly price
Immortal you will ever be.

We walk the byways, streets of towns
Country lanes, through parks
At ease, at peace, possible because
Of missions upon which you embarked.

When there is no setting sun
And tides stretch out o'er all the land
No birds to fly, no songs to sing
Then we'll come and take your hand.

For now we won't forget
An emptiness your parting left
You gave your life in freedom's call
In God’s eyes you're ever blessed.
